Our Creator is vibrant and full of wonder. He delights in diversity and expresses His creativity through intentional and purposeful design. There are no mistakes in His work—no errors, no afterthoughts. Everything He does is with the end in mind.
He is the Almighty!

Look at the array of fruits in the image above—such color, creativity, and variety! Now imagine your life reflecting that same vibrancy—colorful, productive, imaginative. A life that embraces beauty and diversity. If every human lived that way, the world would be a much more beautiful and meaningful place. 🌍✨

The very first command God gave to humanity, after blessing them, was:
“Be FRUITFUL…”

“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”
— Genesis 1:28 (NKJV)

To be fruitful means to be productive—to generate more of what is good, meaningful, and purposeful. Fruitfulness leads to multiplication and the increase of what has already been given.

But what did Adam and Eve have that required multiplication?
Everything.

“Then God blessed them…”
That blessing encompassed all they needed for life and godliness. From Genesis 1:2–25, we see that God had already created the light, the heavens, the earth, the oceans, the plants, the fish, the animals, and the systems to sustain life. All was in place before humankind was formed.

The Amplified Bible explains “blessed” as being endowed with spiritual prosperity, happiness, and being admired. They were not only given a rich environment, but also divine capacity. Created in God’s image and likeness, Adam and Eve were empowered with supernatural ability and authority to govern creation.

“Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature so they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, and yes, Earth itself… God blessed them: ‘Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!…’”
— Genesis 1:26–28 (MSG)

God’s expectation for them—and for us—is to live a life of fruitfulness and multiplication. Adam, without formal education, named every creature, and God honored his choices. They lived in the fullness of God’s provision and fellowship in Eden.

And God’s standard has not changed.

Jesus once cursed a fig tree that bore no fruit—it withered. Why? Because fruitlessness contradicts God’s divine order. For every believer, fruitfulness is not optional—it is essential.

So, how can we live fruitful lives today?

That will be the focus of our next write-up. . .
