“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me…”
Psalm 138:8
There is something sacred about the seventh—a number that echoes through Scripture as the divine symbol of completion, rest, and perfection. God created the world in six days, and on the seventh day, He rested—not from weariness, but from completed work.
That rhythm of perfection continues in the seventh month (Tishrei) of the biblical calendar—a season filled with appointed times:
• The Feast of Trumpets awakens us to God’s voice,
• The Day of Atonement cleanses and restores,
• The Feast of Tabernacles reminds us that God dwells among us.
This is more than a calendar—it’s a spiritual cycle of perfection. A divine invitation to pause, reflect, and remember that the God who started the work is committed to finishing it.
🎯 Psalm 138:8 assures us:
“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.”
That means nothing in your life is left hanging, abandoned, or overlooked. Every detail—every hope, pain, process, or promise—is under divine supervision. Even in your delays, detours, or dry seasons, God is orchestrating completion.
🌱 And just when we think we’ve been stretched too far, 1 Peter 5:10 reminds us:
“…after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace… will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
Beloved, the God of all grace is also the God of all perfection.
He:
• Restores what life has broken,
• Strengthens what trials have weakened,
• And completes what He began in you.
💭 REFLECTION
This seventh month, can you trust the God of Perfection?
Not just with your victories, but with your unfinished places?
He’s not just perfect in Himself—He’s perfecting YOU.
He is the God who works behind the scenes, within the seasons, and beyond your sight.
PRAYER
Lord, You are the God who finishes what You start.
- Perfect every area of my life that still feels undone.
- Heal what’s broken.
- Strengthen what’s weak.
- Complete Your work in me as I surrender to Your divine rhythm.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Happy New Month!
