As we observe Thanksgiving Day today in America, let’s individually take a moment to reflect on the power of Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is NOT result oriented, rather it is a celebration and an appreciation of the predetermined purpose of God which is good.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
In our journey to discovering our authentic self, thankfulness plays a vital role. By acknowledging and appreciating and embracing our strengths, talents, and accomplishments and improve on our weaknesses, we build confidence, self-awareness, and self-acceptance.
So, take a moment today to reflect on the things you’re thankful for. Writing them down is a good way to retain them in your memory, taking a step further to share them with a friend or loved ones multiply the blessings and makes God happy – remember the story of the ten lepers? Read Luke 17:11-19.
