Imagine someone deprived of the ability to walk, see, or hear for three decades. The most meaningful and thrilling gift for them would be the restoration of these fundamental senses and mobility.

We all love gifts and to be gifted. However, not everyone loves to give.

People give gifts for various reasons:

  1. The joy in giving.
  2. The warm feeling you get as a result of being the person who is able to bless another person.
  3. The reward in giving. When you give you can expect a reward in proportion of your giving ability. ”Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” – Luke 6:38 NLT
  4. Some people give out of the generosity of their heart, not expecting any reward.
  5. Gifts open the door to lots of opportunities. Your gifts can connect you to your destiny helpers. ”Giving a gift can open doors; it gives access to important people!“ Proverbs 18:16 NLT

Whatever your motive whenever you give, ensure you give in proportion to your faith. Do not give out of compulsion. More importantly, imitate the Giver of the best gift ever. God gave Jesus to the world out of love.

”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.“
John 3:16 NIV

”When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.“
Romans 5:6

The Yuletide or Christmas season serves as a reminder that God bestowed the world’s greatest gift ever: Jesus. However, it is essential for this gift to be willingly received.

”But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.“
John 1:12 NLT

Christmas reminds us that there’s hope. This is so powerfully needed in the world we are in right now. Crime, moral decadence, corruption, self will and what is now referred to as “alternative truths” are dangerously prevalent. God offered hope to humanity through Christ Jesus.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”“
John 16:33 NLT

As we eat, drink and merry with family members and friends, will you take a moment to ask yourself “Should l die at this moment, where will I spend my eternity”? Accepting the Lordship of Christ over your life is a guarantee to spend eternity with Him in peace.

All of us at Connect Coaching Center wish you a merry Christmas and an amazing 2024.

Thank you for these inspiring words on giving.
Some people strongly believe that giving is all about finances- however giving is much more than that. We can give our time, our talents, apply wisdom in areas where needed, our services as well. In as much as we know that money is a defense, time is also very important. Our Lord Jesus gave us the time of His life which is the utmost gift of all. Thanks for sharing ma.
