Text: Genesis 3:9
“But the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?’” — Genesis 3:9 (NIV)
As October draws to a close and we step into November, God’s timeless question to Adam still echoes in our hearts today: “Where are you?”
This question isn’t about location — it’s about alignment. It’s a divine call to examine where we stand in relation to God’s purpose, our values, and the totality of who we were created to be.
As believers, complacency is never an option. There is always more in Christ. The more you know Him, the more you realize how much more there is to discover — more grace to grow in, more truth to embrace, more love to reflect, and more purpose to fulfill.
So, as October rolls into November, pause and reflect:
• Where are you mentally? Are your thoughts aligned with the mind of Christ or distracted by fear, doubt, or comparison?
• Where are you emotionally? Are you whole, healing, or hiding behind unresolved hurts?
• Where are you financially and health-wise? Are you stewarding your resources and body as vessels of divine purpose?
• And most importantly, where are you spiritually? Are you growing deeper in your walk, or drifting quietly from intimacy with God?
Month ends, year ends — even week ends — are divine invitations for reflection, renewal, refocus, and realignment.
Jesus reminds us in Luke 14:28 to count the cost and plan wisely. Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. 1 Corinthians 3:18 urges us to keep growing, becoming wiser and better in Christ. And Philippians 3:13-14 challenges us to keep pressing forward and to stop looking backwards.
So as we round up October and approach the final stretch of 2025, take a moment to ask yourself:
• What are my reflections?
• What are my plans for the rest of the year?
• What are my hopes, and upon Whom are they based?
Let this question from God — “Where are you?” — not bring guilt, but grace. It’s not condemnation; it’s an invitation — an invitation to return, to realign, and to rediscover your true position in Him.
As you step into the new month, may you be found in the center of His will, growing in faith, purpose, and authentic connection with your Maker.
So, beloved, as October ends — where are you?
