Colorful fruit

The Creator is very colorful; He loves diversity. He is very intentional and purposeful in all He does. No mistakes, no error of judgement, no afterthought. He does everything with the outcome in mind.

He is The Almighty!

Look at the array of fruits in the picture above; how about your life being as colorful, creative, imaginative? It means you’re productive, beautiful, and embraces diversity. If all humans are like that, our world will be a beautiful place to live. 🤭

The first commandment God gave to the first man after blessing him was; “ Be FRUITFUL. . . . “

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be FRUITFUL and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.””

Genesis‬ ‭1:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

FRUITFULNESS means productivity; it is to produce more of something. A fruitful activity multiplies or adds to what’s already there.

In the case of Adam and Eve, one would like to know what they already had in place that needed addition. They had EVERYTHING.

“Then God BLESSED them, . . .” implies everything they needed which pertains to life and Godliness was made available to them. In Genesis 1: 2-25 we read about the account of creation. Everything was in place before God created Adam and Eve – light, heaven, earth, oceans, varieties of seed bearing plants, fish, sea life, cattle, reptiles, all sorts of wild animals were created. The Amplified Bible translates the word “Blessing” to mean . . . “spiritual prosperity, happiness , to be admired.”

Also, when God chose to create them in His likeness and image, God gave them supernatural abilities and nature that intrinsically qualified them to exercise dominion over all creation as God instructed.

“God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.” God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God’s nature. He created them male and female. God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.””

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:26-28‬ ‭MSG‬‬

From the foregoing, it is clear that God’s expectations from Adam and Eve were fruitfulness and multiplication as they filled the earth, subdued it and exercised their God given mandate. Man possessed supernatural abilities. Adam without a formal education as we know it today named all the animals and plants. God honored his decisions. God also constantly fellowship with them in their provided for habitation- Garden of Eden.

God still expects all His children to prosper or be fruitful. Jesus cursed a fig tree that bore no fruit and it withered. Fruitfulness is possible and remains a must do item on the agenda of all believers.

How can we be fruitful? That will be the focus of our next write up.
