The last few blogs which I posted on the acronym C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N, referenced two Biblical characters, namely, DAVID and GOLIATH. Goliath was the champion until David defeated him in a defining battle. So, David emerged the champion.
How did that happen?
To start with, anyone who is willing to pay the price and with the right attitude can emerge a champion. You can emerge as one of the champions that 2021 will produce!
Though young and inexperienced, David was courageous and daring. He was hardworking and had a great spirit. David also had in his kitty some small wins which gave him the needed confidence to enroll in a greater championship. More importantly, he had the right connection. He was well connected to the Source of all breakthroughs! At the battlefield, he was fiercely provoked by the insults which Goliath was heaping on his nation. David felt that the harassment, the shame and embarrassment was against his God. He expressed his disgust and went for the head of Goliath with just a sling and stones! David said ENOUGH! And, with little effort, he killed Goliath. By doing so, he earned national pride, family pride and personal pride. The moral of this story is captured in the passage below:
“Isaac said to him, You’ll live far from Earth’s bounty, remote from Heaven’s dew. You’ll live by your sword, hand-to-mouth, and you’ll serve your brother. But when you can’t take it any more you’ll break loose and run free.”
