Whenever I hear someone celebrate a friend saying, “she’s beautiful inside out,” my thought goes “hiiiiiiin, she must be an honest, trustworthy person.” But is that all there is to living life inside out?
When we live outside of ourselves, life’s challenges become unnerving, we allow the opinions of others to cast a shadow on our truth and we self sabotage. Whereas, living our lives from the inside helps us be connected to who we are first and foremost.
More than ever before, our external environment has changed in the last two years, and will undoubtedly keep changing. It is therefore very essential that our actions, words and thoughts align with our core values and internal values.
While on earth Jesus was constantly opposed to and condemned a certain group of people who lived such lives:
““You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You burnish the surface of your cups and bowls so they sparkle in the sun, while the insides are maggoty with your greed and gluttony. Stupid Pharisee! Scour the insides, and then the gleaming surface will mean something. “You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You’re like manicured grave plots, grass clipped and the flowers bright, but six feet down it’s all rotting bones and worm-eaten flesh. People look at you and think you’re saints, but beneath the skin you’re total frauds.”

For the longest time, I lived my life from outside in. I always constantly beat up myself anytime my circumstances changed or someone changed their attitude towards me.
