The above quote by Usain Bolt captures one of the vital attributes of a champion – PERSEVERANCE.
Perseverance is defined as continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.
In our days, often described as a microwave era, fast paced, with little flair for diligence and strong determination, many people give up too easily. Also, in a general sense, a lot of people seek alternate easier roads to success. Champions and highly successful people are result oriented, self-driven and are always willing to give their all, in order to accomplish their predetermined goal.
Usain Bolt is a Jamaican born retired sprinter. He is the fastest man over 100 meters in the history of Planet Earth. Between 2008 and 2009, the icon broke the men’s 100m world record three times, with his final time of 9.58 seconds standing unbeaten to this day (Feb 2, 2021).

Are you desirous to distinguish yourself from others? Do you dream of becoming a Champion? It is a good desire. But you must go past desire, your desire must be strong enough to push you to break barriers and overcome all opposition.
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men.”
Proverbs 22:29 KJV
“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful. . . “
II Peter 1:5-8 NKJV
