“We control our actions, but the consequences that flow from those actions are controlled by principles.”
– Dr. Stephen R. Covey
In my personal experience, I discovered that things just don’t happen. Life is governed by principles, and when you align yourself with the principles of life you will definitely succeed, it is no longer a matter of chance. On the other hand, if the principles that govern success are violated, nothing can make you succeed.
In his book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” Dr. Stephen Covey defines a principle as “a natural law like gravity. It’s different from a value. Values are subjective; principles are objective. Gravity… if you drop something, gravity controls.”
There are spiritual dimensions to life principles which gives its operators superior advantage over others. I call it “the God Factor.” I often remind my College student daughter about this factor each time she discusses some of her academic struggles with me. “Have you prayed about it? Don’t forget the God Factor, Go and pray, I’ll pray along” are my regular counsels.
Whether you are a college student or a business owner, a Nurse, an Automechanic, or a Store Keeper, no matter your calling, vocation or nationality, if you are divinely connected with your Maker and you live by His divine principles, you have a competitive advantage over those who are not.
““And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” – Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” – I John 5:4-5 NKJV
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” – Philippians 4:6 NKJV
““Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” – Isaiah 54:16-17 NKJV
Some women decided to go on a 30 day Challenge, standing of this principle:
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10 NKJV
Above scripture is motivating us to demolish feelings of lack, emptiness, and dissatisfaction that weigh down some of us. Through this challenge, we are seeking a change in our lives as we unlock life in its abounding fullness of joy and strength for our spirit, souls and body.
You can still join us. We are just on Day 12. Daily updates on the challenge are available on my Facebook page
Happy New week!
